Welcome to the Vision Paraguay website
Vision Paraguay is a small charity working in developing countries to prevent and treat curable blindness.
We depend on the generosity, encouragement and backing of our friends and supporters to continue our work.
The charity is run by volunteers so that operating costs are minimal and virtually all of our income is spent where it is needed.
The main thrust of our work is educational, helping local doctors to provide the best service for their patients in their own environment.
While we treat adults, our passion is the prevention and treatment of eye disease in children.

Most of our work so far has been in Paraguay, in South America. Paraguay is fairly central and allows a stable training base for doctors from many surrounding countries.
Our team varies from year to year but usually consists of an eye surgeon, an orthoptist and often a junior doctor, a nurse or other helper.
